 | | | | | | | | | ATChC QUINTE CGN, Bronze Award of Merit, ExJ Bronze, EXSt Bronze, ExSc Bronze, VBA, AGN, AGIJ, CL2-F, RACL, HIC DOB October 3, 2000 Being a particularly precocious Standard Schnauzer, Quinte presented some training challenges. Since Quinte was her first dog, this was a whole new area that Andrea embraced. It was evident early on that Quinte needed a job so they started agility training. Unfortunately, the obedience foundation wasn’t strong enough so many of the early classes and trials were very frustrating. After returning to do more basic obedience, Quinte’s agility performance began to improve. The addition of Rally Obedience to their training and competing regime also improved their connection and Quinte’s focus. However, it wasn’t until Quinte was diagnosed with a low-normal thyroid in July 2007 that she was really able to shine in the agility ring. With very little medication, Quinte regained the ability to properly focus and manage stress that she had not had for several years. They are actively competing in Agility Association of Canada (AAC), Canine Performance Events (CPE) and Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Agility, and Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) Rally Obedience.
